Hi Rod,
It looks very nice. I really missed the context and do not know the main
requirements fro QB, but after recalling my experience with MS Access I
wanted to give a suggestion. I do not know if this case should be taken
into account here, but suppose you have large db with many tables. Then
using tab widget to get them all on the screen would probably not the
best option. And in advanced mode they may not go well into the screen.
If this case (when there are many tables) should be taken into account,
then as in Access you may have a list of them (say on the right side)
and pop out field names and their types by clicking on the table name
in the list. And in advanced mode tables may be placed on the screen by
clicking on their name in the list.

Let me know if you discover any problems.
One know problem is the "desktop" pane in advance mode should grow to
accomodate tables that are moved around, instead of clipping them.
