[kepler-dev] Purpose of file: kepler/build-area/install-path.txt

Hello Kepler team,

I am trying to understand the purpose of install-path.txt file from 
build-area.

Can you please tell me what it stands for?

I can see it is used during call to isNewInstall but I miss the overview 
of the whole concept.
