This idea (of passing parameter through the Java properties) is exactly what
I'd like to have in Kepler.

This way, I would be able to start separate instances of Kepler at the same
time. Additionally, regular user (non developer) would not notice a difference
if default value of -Dkepler.keplerDirectory would be set to "$HOME/.kepler"
