This seems to work for me.  I might have fixed it and forgotten to close this
bug.  reopen this bug if it fails to work again.

The testing process I used was this:
1) drag rexpression onto canvas
2) add two ports
3) choose customize documentation
4) add documentation to the new ports
5) save the docs
6) display the documentation.

I get no errors and the documentation is successfully saved.
