* EcoGrid group
       o Working on EcoGrid web interface
       o EcoGrid 'write' interface partially completed for SRB and
         Metacat, will be used for archiving Kepler products back on the
         EcoGrid

* KR/SMS group
       o Incorporating ontology-based searching into Kepler
       o Highlighted need for some domain ontologies to test with,
         probably for biodiversity case study
       o Need for unique IDs for data sets, actors, services, etc -- is
         this EcoGrid responsibility?
       o Continued work on Growl interface

* Taxon group
       o Continued work on taxon exchange schema
       o LSID server being brought online
           o Should this LSID server serve all of seek, or just taxon?
       o Created ontologies(object models) of VegBank and TCS in OWL
         using Protege

* Kepler group
       o New search capability for actors
       o Alpha2 release a few weeks ago, along with a CD that was created
         for distribution at SDSC
       o Data query (Query By Example) interface partially integrated
         into Kepler
       o Working for Oct15 as freeze date for new Kepler features,
         release shortly after testing
