I want to draw your attention to the attached conference announcement. The
International Conference on Ecological Informatics will be held in Santa
Barbara on the 4-7th of December 2006. This will be a great international
venue for highlighting the significant ecoinformatics advances made in SEEK,
LTER, GEON and related efforts.

I encourage you to mark your calendars now and to share this announcement
with your colleagues. Please also note that Matt Jones and I are organizing
a special session on meta information concepts and the semantic web. We look
forward to many important contributions in this area.
