Hi Steve:

Thanks for your brief visit today. Here are the mailing lists I
mentioned:

NSF SEEK project (building a workflow environment & "EcoGrid" for
ecologists):
	http://www.ecoinformatics.org/mailman/listinfo/seek-dev

DOE SciDAC project (the "SPA" component = workflows):
	https://lists.sdsc.edu/mailman/listinfo.cgi/sdm-dev

Both developers lists regularly discuss extensions to the Ptolemy-II
system (http://ptolemy.eecs.berkeley.edu/ptolemyII/) which we're using
in both SEEK and SciDAC/SDM/SPA.

You can subscribe to the lists using the URLs above.

SEEK-ers and SPA-ers:

Steve is working with Phil Papadopoulos on a workflow engine for the
grid (correct?). It will be interesting to see whether/how the
"Grid underware" they are building may be used under the Ptolemy-II
hood.

Specifically, in SEEK, there are two working groups (AMS and EcoGrid)
that are already looking at a grid-enabled workflow environment. It
may be good to compare notes!

Bertram
