[seek-dev] FW: need help in ogsa-DAI installation

Jing,

Below is a forwarded mail from OGSA-DAI team.

I personally agree with his analysis. It seems that we need first to
configure the GT3/OGSA properly.

Is there any reason to use /opt/tomcat/webapps instead of
using the webapps under Tomcat home? I guess this might
cause a lot of problems since OGSA couldn't find the right
info such as wsdl files with path names in 'server-config.wsdd'
file.

Bing

I looked at this page and in fact I can't see the wsdl for any of the GT3
services either, so it seems to be a general problem with the GT3
installation.

Looking at your website I would guess that you've interfaced Tomcat with
Apache - is this true? I'm not sure whether anyone's tried this, the
standard way seems to be to run Tomcat in standalone mode. Maybe someone
on the list has tried?

I can solve the immediate problem of seeing the wsdl - this is stored in
your <TOMCAT>/webapps/ROOT/schema/ directory, ie you need to add
JkMount /schema/* worker1
into your Apache httpd.conf
After doing this you should be able to see the wsdl.
However, this is as far as I've got, I can't get OGSA-DAI to work properly
any further than this.

I would highly recommend setting things up in a standalone Tomcat server
first so that you can debug any problems more easily before trying to
interface with Apache.

Cheers,
Jeremy
