[kepler-dev] Building Actors

Ken, I'm glad to see you got this figured out over the weekend. Like you
note with the search function, Kepler is a nicer UI than Ptolemy - you pay
for the added niceties though from the increased build complexity. Once
you have Ptolemy under your belt, it's easier to find a rainy Friday to
play with the Kepler build.
The documentation is built using javadoc with a custom doclet in order to
generate xml files. There is a make target that should do it - I cannot
remember what it is off the top of my head (I use an ant file for the
build and then use that as the basis of a netbeans project). I think you
need make doc, or possible make exe - check the makefile for details.

As far as the Jython actor is concerned, Ptolemy calls it in all the usual
places it would call an actor (OnFire, PreFire, PostFire etc - check the
source for a full list). Because it is jython (which is Python compiled to
Java bytecode) it has full access to all of your java classes. Thus, it
can basically call everything that a java actor can. See the Jython
documentation for more info.
