[kepler-dev] Best practice for custom actor development

Thanks to everyone for the quick and helpful replies.
I have built the simple actor from the Ptomely documentation (the edited
Ramp actor) and so next I will try and get that to appear in Kepler. The
documentation says that you need to build from scratch to build an actor
for Kepler, so I'm glad that's not accurate :-)
>From reading between the lines, it looks like I can build my custom actors
and they will work in both Ptomely and Kepler - that way we can choose to
use on the of the systems and delay the specific decision on which one to
use until the Analysists have looked at both and have an opinion.
