I downloaded the Kepler installer yesterday when I was on campus and
had a fast net connection. I get the Ptolemy II 5.0-beta tool bar.

Just to be clear:
In Ptolemy II 3.0, we have Z's for the zoom butons.
In Ptolemy II 5.0, we have magnifying glasses.

For me, under Kepler, the utilities are not immediately visible.
For example, I had to go to Actors -> Constants -> Documentation
to see the Annotation.

Are you getting the old configuration where Utilities are immediately
visible when you start up? Do you see the Quick Search Window on
the left?

I would try the following:
1) Check your environment settings and unset PTII, reboot and restart
Kepler

2) Send us a screenshot. Probably a gif would be smaller than a
bmp. On the HP, do Alt-Fn-PrtScr to copy the image and then paste
it in to Paint, save as a gif and send it out.

BTW - One note is that when I installed Kepler it wanted to update
c:/Windows/system32/libexpat.dll. Why is this? Is there any other way
so as to avoid updating files in the Windows directory?
