Rafael,
James is absolutely correct. Note that inline data is constrained to
character data, so you may find it necessary to encode the raw binary
data into its character representation before using the <inline> entity
(refer to the normative documentation for <inline> at
http://knb.ecoinformatics.org/software/eml/eml-2.0.1/eml-physical.html#inline)
for additional information.
Also, the attached diagram may be helpful.
