I think it's actually in the 'ecogrid' module. So for 2.0 it will be:
/ecogrid-2.0/resources/configurations/configurations.xml

You'll also want to make sure you have an authentication domain set up for the serviceGroup that you use for the new datasource service.
The authentication service is set in /authentication-2.0/resources/configurations/configuration.xml
