[kepler-users] run-time window layout

Hi Chris,

We've been working on the Kepler reporting system (in the development
tree, not yet in a full release) to be able to do just that -- provide
more precise layouts and create a report from workflow run results.
As part of this we've developed a report specification language, and
can generate reports in the Kepler UI as well as in pdf and
potentially other formats (e.g., HTML might come along). The
RunWindow capability of including dynamic plots that update during the
run is something that we haven't addressed, but it would make a nice
addition. There is some basic information about the reporting system
here:

https://kepler-project.org/developers/interest-groups/provenance-interest-group/workflow-reporting-and-report-generation/

but looking at this page, it needs to be updated with more recent
status reports and show some screenshots of the existing system (the
design mockup is all that is shown). The 'wrp' module is the home of
the work being done on reporting if you're interested in giving it a
try. Some of the other reporting developers might be able to provide
more up-to-date information.
