Hi Jysoo,
In Kepler-1.0.0, you can change the type of widget that is used to set
the expression.
To do this, double click on the Expression actor, which brings
up the "Edit Parameters" dialog.
Then click on the "Preferences" Button, which brings up the
"Edit preferences for Expression" dialog.
In "Edit preferences for Expression", go to
the "expression" field and change from "line" to "text".
Then hit ok to close the "Edit preferences for Expression" dialog.
The "Edit Parameters" dialog will now have a text area instead of a line.

If you don't mind programming python, the python actor is quite good, and
works quite the same way that the expression actor works (i.e. you have to
add your own input and output ports). However, the startup overhead may not
be desirable. I say give it a try either way.
