I would fold the change to HTMLViewer in to a branch just 2.3.  I agree that
there are many changes and we may not want all of them.

The missing Kieler Layout functionality should possibly be fixed.
It is very useful.

The export PNG facility could be skipped.  

Just my $0.02.
