Hmm, I'm trying to think of how we'd use the "provenance of the report layout".
I suppose that could be useful for undo/redo operations? But it seems like we
don't have an immediate need to keep track of history, the more pressing need
is to avoid nasty exceptions when trying to update the LSID.
