I have looked into this a little bit now, and have found that if you change the
"Title" in addition to Name, then the name change works, fixing both problems
6a and 6b noted below.

I am just diving into this area. But it seems strange to me that actors have
not only "names," but also "titles" and "display names." Perhaps someone knows
about the purpose of these distinctions.
