If I pass the an image file as a string ("C:/tmp/image.png") to the String To
Image Converter actor, it seems not to work.  The output to a Display actor is: 

{type="class ptolemy.data.AWTImageToken" width="-1" height="-1"}

This occurs on all OSes.
