Made a little progress - on the mac (and probably works on linux) the WRM now
uses the top level recorder settings if it's turned on, the properties bundle
if not. Every time you do a search wrm first checks to see if there has been a
change. Doesn't work on windows yet, but shouldn't be hard. 

It also doesn't work yet if the top level provenance recorder is one that has
been dragged on (instead of turned on via the toolbar) -- I need to look into
this.
