I propose to take over this old bug -- REAP requires an Advanced Search dialog
that allows a user to select a region of a map. I'm not sure the exact overlap
of our needs with the original intention of this bug, but it's close. The
original page referred to has moved here:

It's not yet been decided who will work on this. James has posted his mockups
