delete functionality added in r19815.
todo: 
- check if we need to also delete runs from objectmanager and/or cache.
- cascade delete takes care of what we want to delete save the Data table,
which will accumulate junk. Probably want to also do the appropriate deletes on
this table when deleting "runs" too.
