[kepler-dev] Release roadmap and current release

Hi Vincenzo,

The overall release roadmap is here:

We have not yet branched nor published modules for this release -- the
active development is in the 'kepler' suite on the HEAD of SVN.

We were hoping to do a code freeze Dec 15th, but based on feedback from
various contributors it seems that we are not ready for that, so we will
probably have to do the code freeze after the new year holidays.

Not sure what's up with the installer error -- I haven't built that in a
long time.  Maybe Chad has some ideas on why it may have failed.
