The Ptolemy Exec actor also has duplicate functionality.
I looked at CommandLineExec and it looked like it
really needed a re-design.  It appeared that there
had been many small changes to the code.

I'm willing to spend some effort on a redesign.

Perhaps one idea would be to compare and contrast
the feature set of the three actors and decide what
features we wanted.
