Matthew Brooke has been an incredibly valuable and integral part of the 
development group at NCEAS over the last several years.  I am sorry to 
have to let you know that Matthew has decided to take a position with a 
new firm and will be leaving UCSB on May 27, 2006.  Matthew has made so 
many important contributions to our projects, including his work on 
Jalama and SEEK and Kepler that I can't list them all.  We'll definitely 
miss his contributions.  Please join me in congratulating Matthew on his 
new position and wish him well in his future endeavours (spelt like a 
true Brit :).
