[kepler-dev] Book recommendation

Hi All,
    As most of you know, Ptolemy (and thus Kepler) was basically created 
by Professor Edward Lee of the EE Department at UC Berkeley. (You can 
see a photo of Professor Lee doing his imitation of Ptolemy at 
http://ptolemy.eecs.berkeley.edu/conferences/05/index.htm  ;-) ).

    I recently got a copy of Professor Lee's book

and Interpretation of Signals and Systems", Edward A Lee & Pravin 
Varaiya, ISBN 0-201-74551-8). Although this book does not directly 
discuss Ptolemy, it is very interesting reading about how engineers 
think about signals and systems. And there are sections such as 2.3.4 
"Composing systems using Block Diagrams" which are obviously related to 
Kepler. If you are interested in getting a view of how engineers think 
about what we in the Kepler community have been calling 'workflows', I 
recommend taking a look at this book!
