Hi all,

I won't be going to TDWG either, but I'll send out some information
about my attempt at the OWLification of TCS to this list soon.

I can sum it up in a few sentences:

1.  there are two kinds of instances, publications and specimens

2.  specimens have properties like hasSpecies, hasGenus, hasFamily

3.  these properties are filled by publication instances

4.  taxa, like "the genus ranunculus according to Benson 1948" are
defined as the class of all those specimens that have a hasGenus
property filled by the publication instance representing Benson 1948."

5.  publication instances have the properties you'd expect

And that's the short story.
