We discussed the ontology storage feature for the ecogrid system at the last
meeting in Santa Barbara (Oct 2003).  See the summary from that meeting for
details, but highlights are:

1) Store ontologies as OWL XML docs
2) Query needs
   2a) string match to find terms and definitions
   2b) graphic based ontology querying (ie, navigate ontology)
   2c) support reasoning based query operators (eg, subsumption)

Suggested at the meeting that we implement a grid service version of the SWI
package for querying.
