 Hi Lou,

It indeed is possible to use R within Kepler. We have created an
RExpression actor that allows you to run arbitrary R scripts from within
Kepler, and pass data in and out of that expression to other actors in the
system. The use of R in Kepler is described in the Actor Reference Guide
and in the User Manual in section 8.2 Statistical Computing: Kepler and R
(p. 257) and section 11. Appendix: Using R in Kepler. All of the Kepler
documentation ships with Kepler itself, plus it is available on the kepler
website here:
   http://www.kepler-project.org/Wiki.jsp?page=Documentation
The direct link to the User Manual is:

http://code.kepler-project.org/code/kepler-docs/trunk/outreach/documentation/shipping/UserManual.pdf

We have also been working recently on making execution of the R actor more
efficient, but that is not complete or part of any current release yet.
