[kepler-dev] adding user login interface to Vergil

Sorry, Laura.  I knew you had made a post, but just lost track of where
the page was.  Thanks for the refresh. I looked at it when you posted
originally, and I know I had comments then.  So I wanted to make sure
Zhije knew these prototypes were out there and that there may be some
more comments now that people know implementation is imminent.
