I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to do.  Are you trying to add 
your new actor to the actor library (the tree on the left of vergil)? 
If so, there are several files you have to edit.  If you want to add 
your actor to the library, see the file 
kepler/docs/tutorial/JNIHowTo.txt.  Scroll down near the bottom to the 
section "Adding your actor to the actor library" and follow those 
instructions.   Note that those instructions are kepler specific and 
will not work for stand-alone ptolemy.
