Dear All,

I would like to nominate Werner G. Krebs for membership into
the Kepler dev group. Werner is working for the EOL (Encylopedia
of Science: http://eol.sdsc.edu) project at SDSC as a technical
lead. He has a PhD in bioinformatics and has been working in
various software projects related to this field. His CV and
publications are online at http://users.sdsc.edu/~wkrebs/pubs.html. He
will be developing Kepler workflows related to the
requirements of EOL project.

During his short time in the Kepler project, he has already
developed a WMSD actor (Info at:
http://www.ecoinformatics.org/pipermail/kepler-dev/2004-September/000938.htm
l) and a workflow related to submitting EOL tasks and monitoring their
status from Kepler, keeping in mind that these are long-running
tasks. IBM is funding the effort to integrate the EOL tasks into
the Kepler environment.

Please respond to the list (kepler-dev at ecoinformatics.org) within 5
business days (until 11:59pm on wednesday, september 8th) with any
commentary
and a vote as follows:

     * Approve (+1) - Werner should BECOME A KEPLER VOTING MEMBER
     * Neutral (0)  -- NO OPINION
     * Disapprove (-1) - Werner should NOT BECOME A KEPLER VOTING MEMBER*.

*Note that a vote of Disapprove is a veto which guarantees failure of the
vote, so if you vote Disapprove, you must provide a reason for doing so.
If we don't get at least 2/3 of the members casting a vote, we should
probably ask for another vote or say that this vote has failed.

If you have any questions about this process, please refer to:
Note that only current contributing members of the project can vote.

Best,
Ilkay
