Hi Stacie, I have seen on the ESRI web site that ArcView, ArcEdiotr,
and ArcInfo provide different GIS funcionality. As far as I
understood, ArcView seems to provide basic functionlity. Is ArcView
enough to play with InVest? This probably depends on wht one needs to
do with InVEST... Simone Previously Stacie Wolny wrote: Hi, Simone -
For InVEST 2.0, you can use ArcGIS (ArcView, ArcEditor or ArcInfo) 9.3
or 9.3.1 with the latest service packs and Spatial Analyst for all
models. ArcGIS 10 is supported for all models except freshwater
(Hydropower, Sediment, Water Purification.) The freshwater models will
support ArcGIS 10 in the next release, due to come out in May. ArcGIS
is not generally free. If you are affiliated with a university, they
often have access to a free 'Student edition' version, which includes
ArcEditor and the Spatial Analyst extension and a 1-year license which
works fine for InVEST. ~ Stacie
