David and Inigo,

( Greetings and I am jumping in...)

I think with the Classification module from LifeDesks (http://www.lifedesks.org/modules/) or ScratchPads (scratchpads.eu), a Drupal site can manage it's own sets of checklists (multiple as well) or use them as the taxonomic skeleton to relate to other content types.

This reminds me that I had similar discussions with Inigo in Taipei last Nov (before beer). Not sure if this is being implemented by Inigo, but if I understand right, the scenario might be, one wants to fill the taxonomic coverage by picking a node from a classification UI and then names are imported into the form? There are some functions and UI codes in the classification modules ready, with a little bit PHP effort it should be possible to have this feature on Drupal.
