A little over a month ago Ben announced the availability of a release
candidate for EML 2.1.1. The major changes in this release are focused on
better support for multi-language translations of textual metadata.
Specific structures have been added to clarify the base language for an EML
document and to allow textual fields to be provided in multiple languages.
The links below provide the relevant technical details. I propose that the
EML project release eml-2.1.1-rc1 as the official EML 2.1.1 release
(eml-2.1.1). EML Project members, please respond with your vote by next
Friday (one of Approve, Neutral, Deny). We'll tally the votes the
following week.
