opening EML files

Carla,
In case you have not already received an answer to your question:
Assuming that you are using Morpho 1.5.1 and Windows (2000 or XP and
probably ME), with a Windows username of "carla" and a Morpho profile
of carla, then put the eml documents that you have into the "data" sub
folder of the .morpho folder. The full path for a single hard drive
computer would be something like:
c:\Documents and Settings\carla\.morpho\profiles\carla\data\LUQ\1.1
If you have downloaded an eml document from an LTER web site directly,
then you will need to make sure of two things:
1. You put the eml file into a folder inside the data folder (see
above for path). For example, if you received a file from Luquillo
LTER, then you might create a folder called "luquillo" of "luq".
2. Rename your file to be something like 1.1. If you have three files
from Luquillo, you might name them 1.1, 1.2, 1.3
If you do that, then Morpho will be able to open the downloaded file.
It is possible that there is another way to do it, but that is the only
way that I was able to get it to work. Of course, if the LTER site has
contributed their metadata to either the LTER or NCEAS Metacat, then you
can search for the file using Morpho.
Hope this helps.
