Geography Markup Language (GML) Version 3.1 Public Release from Open
GIS Consortium.

The Open GIS Consortium (OGC) has approved the release of the "OpenGIS
Geography Markup Language (GML) Implementation Specification" Version
3.1.0 as a publicly available Open GIS Recommendation Paper, tracked
for dual release as ISO 19136. GML defines XML encoding for the
transport and storage of geographic information, including both the
geometry and properties of geographic features. The release contains a
601-page prose document and 33 XML Schema files.
