Agreed.  David should have been before, but his contributions fell in 
that lull between when we moved to the new CVS server/project membership 
model, and when I had my act together to start nominating people for 
membership.  Any member can nominate somebody for membership. I would 
propose that the critical things we are looking for are: 1) commitment 
to the community-oriented nature of EML, and 2) a history of 
participation through the mailing list and other venues that 
demonstrates this committment.  David has certainly evidenced both.
