Multipliers

Tim,

Yes, I think they assume the unit conversion is linear.  I just noticed 
this the other day myself when going through the date/time stuff.  They 
have a multiplier and an intercept, as far as I can tell.  One can't 
even have polynomial relationships.  Log relationships would I think be 
common, so this is probably a problem.  I'll see if Peter Murray-Rust 
has something in mind here.
