lineage + documentation of references re: full release of eml 2

Two items that we discussed in one or more of the conference calls were:
1. lineage - It seems to me that we decided to remove the lineage 
components in the schemas. Is this still the plan?  Bug 633.

2. Documentation of the references elements inside the various schemas. 
I can't remeber if we decided to do just to a global documentation of 
references or if we were going to add ddocumentation in the schemas. At 
present the references element is undocumented.  bug 634
