Hi.
I am scheduling the next LTER workshop on eml for June 19-21 at ASU. There
was overwhelming positive comments about Chad and Chris's contribution to
the workshop so if Chad, chris or any other members of the NCEAS team would
be able to participate in this one, it would be greatly appreciated. We have
26+ people representing 16 sites committed to coming thus far. goals are
basically to get site metadata in eml in one of two states - an existing
system linked via xanthoria or eml documents loaded into a metacat. if we
are able to get beta9 pulled together with time to modify some of our code,
then i think it will be very exiting to imagine being able to see sites
mixing and matching tools (eg converting an fgdc file with our xslt, then
open and finish editing it in morpho). but even still, the workshop will be
much more productive just from having a new EML beta that doesnt have two
"flavors".
Just let me know who might be interested and Ill let james figure out how to
pay for it!
