Ive suggested some changes below:
I think the problems with eml-protocol are more closely related to those
with eml-project than with eml-physical. I think they warrant more time than
the references/instance file issue and suggest they move up in priority.
Other than the connection/url thing, the only other issue with eml-physical
is the ascii fixed section which is a miscellaneous item.

Hi again,
Here is the timeline for the call tomorrow as well as a straw-man
development schedule for EML. Note that we have decided to try to
shorten the call to 2 hours because of the high cost of these types of
calls. We figured we could meet sometime in the near future on an
online medium if needed. Please try to use as few phone lines as
possible.
Goal
----
Come up with a release schedule and task list with assignements that
allows us to release EML 2.0.0 by early October.
Discussion Items:
-----------------
09:00) eml-protocol, eml-project. what's wrong with
them and how do we fix it?
09:30) normalization. references/ids. what modules belong at the root,
what is the overall structure of an eml instance document?
09:45) distribution information: urls? predefined fields? other
methods?
10:00) eml-literature. what do we need to do to make eml-literature
usable and efficient?
10:15) Miscellaneous: units/attributeDomain (bug 544), paragraph tag
structure (bug 558), namespaces (bug 556), xs:ID (bug 563),
ascii-fixed
module in eml-physical
10:30) Wrapup. Finalize release deadlines and task list.
anything else we want to talk about, time permitting.
Proposed schedule
-----------------
Aug 30) Have any major structural changes done (hopefully none)
Sep 06) Have all content changes done, minor bugs fixed, spec written
Sep 13) Release Candidate 1 (eml-2.0.0rc1) posted to web
Sep 27) Public review and testing feedback due
Oct 04) Release EML2.0.0 or revise schedule for a Release Candidate 2 if
needed based on feedback
talk to you tomorrow,
chad
