[ecoinfo] Ecosystems database

Hello Friends,
Is there a Ecosystem database that can provide basic information such as
(geolocation, coordinates, country, ecosystem_type)?
I am not looking for a collection of flat files. What I am looking for is
very similar to a GIS database but with an extra feature that marks a
geolocation being an ecosystem and its type(wetland, grassland, etc).
I would really appreciate any help.
